Provide technical support in design and development of electrical systems.
Maintain electrical systems including hardware and software systems.
Coordinate with Technicians and Engineers in planning and executing assigned technical projects.
Analyze and resolve design problems in a timely manner.
Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry in industrial plant
Assembles and tests experimental motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
Prioritize and coordinate project activities for timely completions.
Review and recommend improvements to system designs to improve performance and reliability.
Design substations and route transmission lines as needed.
Work with Manager in developing project plan, budget and schedules.
Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment, and directs personnel performing routine installation duties.
Draw or modify diagrams and write engineering specifications to clarify design details and functional criteria of experimental electronics units.
Evaluate engineering proposals, shop drawings and design comments for sound electrical engineering practice and conformance with established safety and design criteria, and recommend approval or disapproval.
Plans, directs, and records periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
Assist Manager in cost control, document control and quality control activities.
Adhere to company policies and design standards.
Oversee the commissioning and testing of electrical systems.
Prepare electrical plans, technical specifications, line diagrams and other project documentations for management review.
Provide technical assistance and conduct job trainings to team members when required.
Track project status regularly and ensure to execute projects within allotted budget and timelines.
Assess potential risks and technical challenges and accordingly develop corrective action plans.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:-
Electrical Engineer Degree qualification.
Required knowledge in electrical HV, MV and LV installation in industrial Plants, awareness of methodology for stationary and rotating machinery etc. knowledge of sugar refineries or cement, petrochemical plants is an advantage
Practical experience of applying project electrical engineering and systems.
Unlikely to be achieved in less than 10 years post qualification experience in similar industry.
A strong but acceptable personality coupled with an ability to work equably under pressure.
Highly analytical with a drive for innovation and improvement.
Ability to work closely with Project Team and other Project Contractors is an important requirement of this role.
